Skokie, IL (September 24, 2024) – One of the hottest trends in recreational sports is coming to Skokie.
Pickledilly Skokie, an indoor pickleball club owned by local residents Lauren Busey, Amy Lillibridge, Nathan Cachila, and Armi Cachila, and located at 4919 Main Street, will open early in 2025. The facility will include 11 full-size pickleball courts, plus one half-size court for training, as well as learn-to-play pickleball classes, leagues, competitions, and corporate events. On-site, dedicated parking will be available for Pickledilly patrons.
The Skokie Village Board approved plans for the new indoor recreational indoor pickleball facility and Pickledilly recently signed a lease for the space. The ownership group will renovate and adaptively repurpose the existing vacant industrial space, bringing more activity to the area, which includes Sketchbook Brewing and the Skokie Valley Trail.
“Local support and enthusiasm have been amazing,” Lauren Busey, managing partner. “Our ownership team is 100% committed to providing an inclusive environment for all levels of players – and to attracting and engaging people who would like to learn more about the sport.” Pickledilly plans to offer tiered memberships for club access as well as options for guest play, without a membership commitment. A founding membership offer will be available soon, in time for the holiday gift-giving season.
Pickleball continues to be embraced across the nation at the recreational and competitive level by players of all levels and backgrounds. In 2023, pickleball grew to 13.6 million players in the United States, according to the 2024 Sports & Fitness Industry Association
Pickledilly Skokie has a full events and league schedule planned for early 2025. For additional information or to learn more, access the website at www.pickledillyskokie.com.
