ABOUT US
A premier indoor pickleball club is coming to Skokie in early 2025.
Pickledilly Skokie, an indoor pickleball club owned by local residents Lauren Busey, Amy Lillibridge, Nathan Cachila, and Armi Cachila, and located at 4919 Main Street, will open in early 2025. The facility will include 11 full-size pickleball courts, plus one half-size court for training, as well as learn-to-play pickleball classes, leagues, competitions, and corporate events, in addition to yoga and stretch instruction. On-site parking will be available.
“We’re committed to providing an inclusive environment for all levels of players – and to attracting and engaging people who would like to learn more about the sport,” said Lauren Busey, managing partner.
Pickleball continues to be embraced across the nation at the recreational and competitive level by players of all levels and backgrounds. In 2023, pickleball grew to 13.6 million players in the United States, according to the Sports & Fitness Industry Association.
The ownership group will renovate and adaptively repurpose the existing vacant industrial space, bringing more activity to the area, which includes Sketchbook Brewing and the Skokie Valley Trail.
Armi Cachila has worked in technology for most of her career and has been heavily involved in her children's activities. She began playing pickleball at the encouragement of her sister, who is an avid player. As a former tennis player, she naturally took to the sport during the pandemic.
Nathan Cachila has been a technology professional for over 25 years in many industries from finance and consulting to non-profits. He was actively involved in his children's sports activities during their formative years. He coached youth soccer for many years at many levels, served as a swim official for USA Swimming and even flipped burgers for high school football games. He rarely missed his children's soccer games, softball games, swim meets, and water polo matches. Pickleball brought back that sense of community around sports but this time he's the athlete! Pickledilly is all about community, friendships, inclusiveness and wellness and Nathan is very proud to be part of it.
Lauren Busey grew up in Wilmette and currently resides in Skokie. She studied psychology at Luther College and received a Master's of Divinity from the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. For the past 16 years, she has served as the Director of Faith Formation at Trinity Lutheran Church in Evanston. Her leadership skills have served her well in the Children, Youth, and Family ministry, and her tech skills have allowed her to help the church grow. She is community-oriented and has focused much of her career and ministry on inclusion and hospitality. Lauren is excited to use her event planning and leadership skills to start a new venture: a community-focused Pickleball Facility.
Amy Lillibridge grew up in Oregon, OH and currently resides in Skokie, IL. She is a lifelong golfer, former caddie, and proud Evans Scholars Alum. She was introduced to the game of pickleball by her partner, Lauren, and was immediately hooked. Amy is passionate about building community and looks forward to creating a welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities at Pickledilly.
Amy works full-time at the Evans Scholars Foundation where she serves as Senior Director, Student Success. Her work focuses on building community and providing leadership and support resources to current Evans Scholars.
